UNIVERSITY AIRMAIL ISSUE

The 1934 Pro-University airmail issue  may very well be the most beautiful set of postage stamps ever printed by any country. Because of the "airmail" theme each stamp depicts a scene in Mexico with a  airplane on the picture.

Airplane flying over a Toluca valley with the snowy mountain in the background, caption indicates "snows of Toluca"..

Airplane flying over the pyramids of the sun and the moon.

Airplane flying over the two volcanos just outside Mexico City, Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl.

A seaplane flying over the bridge over the Papacayo river near Acapulco.

Airplane flying over Chapultepec.

Airplane flying over farmland near Orizava.

Airplane flying over Mexico City with an Aztec calendar and woman pictured to the left.
